Hope Amateur Dramatic Independent Theatre (HADIT) was formed in 2009 over a few too many pints in the Cheshire Cheese ... Many more pints later we now have four pantos, seven plays, a rehearsed reading and four Murder Mystery Evenings under our belts.  Feedback from our audiences on all of these has been really good.

We rehearse and perform in the Hope Methodist Hall.  We also hold regular play readings when we are not rehearsing.

We welcome new members and supporters.

FORTHCOMING PRODUCTIONS

We will be performing Norman Robbins’ A TOMB WITH A VIEW in November.

This play isn't so much a case of 'who dunnit?' but 'who keeps doing it?’. It is set in as sinister an old library as one is likely to come across, presided over by a portrait of a grim faced, mad eyed old man. There, a dusty lawyer reads a will (involving some millions of pounds) to an equally sinister family, one member of which has werewolf tendencies, another wanders round in a toga like Julius Caesar and a third is a gentle old lady who plants more than seeds in her flower beds. By the third act, there are more corpses than live members left in the cast. And what about the sympathetic nurse and the author of romantic novels – are they all, or more than, they seem to be? All is revealed as the plot twists and turns to its surprising conclusions.

Watch out for our posters.

REVIEWS

"TOTAL APPROVAL: ANOTHER HIT FROM HADIT!"

Read Reviews

"Hope’s drama group tackles Michael Frayn’s brilliant play which takes us behind the scenes of a touring theatre company’s production. The behaviour of the cast proves even more farcical than the comedy they are trying to perform. The trajectory of Noises Off! can only be described as a crescendo of chaos…"
